Leslie Nord's Random Thoughts on Friends, Family and Life

I never was much of a writer - more like a rambler that easily gets lost in a tangent. My blog lets me go out on those tangents any time I want to. So remember, life is like a roller coaster: sit down and hang on. Sometimes you'll want to scream, sometimes you'll puke, but give it a chance and you'll find it can be a lot of fun.

The Truth Shall Set Us Free

Seems someone is once again worried about what I say. Threats of lawsuits abound – more like emotional blackmail. All these individuals want to do is hurt Megan because she has a good relationship with me. This same opportunity was afforded them – they declined.

A little FYI here:

Can I sue someone who says or writes something defamatory about me?

In order to prove defamation, you have to be able to prove that what was said or written about you was false. If the information is true, or if you consented to publication of the material, you will not have a case. However, you may bring an defamatory action if the comments are so reprehensible and false that they effect your reputation in the community or cast aspersions on you.

Sadly, I write the truth. So I suppose those who are upset are afraid the truth will hurt them. But again, it’s the truth and the truth shall set me free.

Did a little checking on the traffic to my blog – barely 14 visitors a day. The last time a certain person even visited my blog was July 15th. All this fur is flying because Megan is tired of being treated they way she has been treated by these individuals.

I suppose there is fear that someone could find out that: A – I’m still alive, B – I’m really not the bitch that I’ve been made out to be, C – it was these individual’s choice to sever ties with me. I still remember Megan telling me that she had been told I had signed a piece of paper disowning these other individuals. I asked her to get proof of that – it was never given. Chances are it would have been forged if it had been produced.

Sigh…

Those of you who were betting that my knees would be the first "metal" replacements, you lost. I now have a bit of titanium in my cervical spine. I wonder if the doc will give me a pic of the post-op x-rays?

Those who know me, know to send lavender roses and daisies.
