I never was much of a writer - more like a rambler that easily gets lost in a tangent. My blog lets me go out on those tangents any time I want to. So remember, life is like a roller coaster: sit down and hang on. Sometimes you'll want to scream, sometimes you'll puke, but give it a chance and you'll find it can be a lot of fun.

  • The Standard Time Act of 1918/1919, proved so unpopular after the war had ended that the law was repealed by means of a presidential veto. #
  • 1942 US Congress imposed what was known as “War Time” and was repealed after the war was over on Sept. 30, 1945 #
  • President Lyndon Johnson signed the Uniform Time Act of 1966 created a standardized Daylight Savings Time observances throughout the nation. #
  • Nixon signed the Emergency Daylight Saving Time Conservation Act of 1974 putting the entire US on DST time for a 15-month period. #
  • 1986 the FEDERAL law was amended again extending the time frame to1st Sunday of April through the last Sunday of October. #
  • Under the Energy Policy Act created in 2005— Daylight Savings Time was extended into what we now observe today. Time to repeal it! #
