Not taking sides
Sunday, June 5th, 2005After getting a late night call from the sister-in-law asking for help loading a truck at
The sad part of the whole ordeal was the disappointment of being told by the mother-in-law she’s just too busy to come see our new house – it’s our first home. I suppose it can be said that it’s my fault – she doesn’t like me after the heated discussion we had about religion (yeah, yeah taboo subject, I know) and the Bible. She wound up telling us we would burn in hell and left in tears. I did go and apologize right away, but she’s not called much since then. She’ll come to town but not call. But the most painful thing I remember was once when I had had a heated argument with my husband about my daughter (that’s about the only thing we argue about) I had gone over to her place to let him cool down and her comment to me was why do I stay married to him?
Oh but anyhow, I need to get back to doing battle with this cantankerous Miva Merchant site that is giving me fits – I’ve got to figure out why my custom scripting killed the submit button, sigh…and then there is the laundry. At least I have Phantom of the Opera to listen to.
Firefox verses IE
Saturday, June 4th, 2005Did I ever mention I detest Microsoft products? I’m a big fan of Firefox – I was using Netscape before most people knew what it was. So should I post a notice on my site that it’s only Firefox friendly? Sure thing and I call myself a web developer? Yeah, right. So I’m back to the drawing board to figure out what the incompatiblity is with the layout of the new blog. But is sure does look pretty in Firefox.
Getting old?
Saturday, June 4th, 2005More changes!
Saturday, June 4th, 2005I can never leave “good enough” alone. I wasn’t completely happy with certain features of my blog so I went searching for something better. This blog will allow me to post via email – so I can add anything I want at any time of the day. I played with the AOLJournals for a few days – posting via Instant Messenger was cool but I don’t have access to it like I do email.
So give me a few days to get the old posts added to the new blog. I’m impressed that it was smart enough to get the archiving correct. The blog even has a spell checker and we all know I definately need that!!!
The down side to this blogger is that it’s all HTML pages. The last one I had was PHP posting and pulling from MySQL.
